In January, Europe House focused on revisiting some of the memorable moments and activities from the previous year as well as announcing and highlighting the ongoing EU support in the country.

#EU4BiH

Under the #EU4BiH umbrella, two calls for proposals have been published under our horizontal online campaign Apply!. The first call, under the regional Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans, provides opportunities for CSO and institutions for the development of marketing initiatives in cinematography, fashion and gaming industries and protection of cultural heritage. The second published call, under the EU4Culture initiative, invites companies to apply for the project of construction of Ars Aevi Museum of Contemporary Arts in Sarajevo. 

 

 

In January Europe House launched the #VodaJeŽivot series which will in the coming months focus on presenting success stories of EU assistance to the sector of water management in BiH. The first published story, accompanied by an animated graphic presents the flagship projects implemented across the country noting the importance of continued support to the sector in improving the quality of lives of citizens. 

 

 

 

#OurPlanetOurFuture

Focusing on environmental awareness under the #OurPlanetOurFuture campaign, for the World Environmental Education Day, we published an edition of What Does Green Mean? educational series, focusing on air quality and efforts to reduce pollution, as it is one of the most pressing environmental concerns during the winter months.

 

#EuropeHouse

The beginning of 2026 provided an opportunity to reflect on the most memorable moments and activities from the previous year, remembering highlights from discussions, panels and presentations to exhibitions and workshops which filled the year with opportunities for strengthening of creativity, cooperation, networking and education. And as we look forward to possibilities in the coming year, we announced exciting new activities, engaging content and opportunities for extending our engagement across the country. 

In January we marked another important milestone, having reached the impressive number of over 50,000 visitors to Europe House since opening our doors to the public in October 2023. 

Alongside our regular activities, Europe House hosts events organised by European Union funded projects, initiatives led by EU Member State embassies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their cultural institutes, as well as activities by other organisations, institutions, and projects. The Europe House Sarajevo space is provided free of charge for these purposes.

In January 2026, Europe House hosted 7 events with more than 850 visitors.
