Konstanty Gebert (nickname David Warszawski) is a Polish journalist, a Jewish activist and writer. He was a witness and Assistant to the Polish Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki during his mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a Special Reporter of the UN Human Rights in the former Yugoslavia. Mazowiecki resigned from that post as a protest to the numerous violations of international law during the war at the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in Srebrenica.
Tadeusz Mazowiecki is an honorary citizen of Sarajevo and one of the most prominent politicians of Europe who has had a truly impressive and inspiring biography. This meeting with the witness of his mission, Mr. Konstantym Gebert, will be an opportunity to make the significance and details of the BiH mission of Tadeusz Mazowiecki closer to everyone interested in the contemporary history of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
